Extra Space Self Storage

This project was a continuation of years of design-build collaboration between Extra Space Storage and Diede Construction, Inc. Extra Space is the second largest self-storage company in the world, with over 700 facilities throughout the United States.

The design criteria were developed using the highest standard for security, materials, and functionality. The project scope of work included the construction of a two-story sales office and residence, equipped with high-tech security and communications systems, large open space office with break room amenities, casework and sales floor area. The facility’s fortress-style storage buildings were built with tilt-up concrete wall structures throughout the perimeter of the 3-acre site. Built adjacent to the property line, the tilt-up application proved to be cost effective in replacement of CMU block. The balance of the site was completed utilizing a pre-engineered metal storage building system. The completed storage contains one two-story climate-controlled building and 5 single-story storage buildings with a total of over 600 storage units.
