Safety Program
Measures
The chief focus of Diede Construction’s safety program is injury and accident prevention. Under the supervision of DDC’s safety manager, a 20+ year veteran of the industry, yearly safety training classes are held at our main office by certified OSHA safety instructors. These classes include:
New employee safety orientation
Fall protection
Competent Person (PPE/Confined Space)
Equipment (Hand Tool/Forklifts/Aerial-Lifts/Bobca/Loaders/Backhoe)
CPR—First Aid
Diede Construction’s safety goal is ZERO jobsite injuries or accidents for our employees and subcontractor workers. To help achieve this goal, jobsite safety on all DDC jobs requires:
Monthly superintendent and management safety meetings
Weekly jobsite safety 'tailgate' meetings
All subcontractors to submit their company IIPP safety plan for review prior to job mobilization
FOR 40+ YEARS, DIEDE CONSTRUCTION HAS PROVEN THAT JOBS CAN BE COMPLETED ON TIME AND ON BUDGET, WHILE ALSO ADHERING TO THE STRICTEST SAFETY PROTOCOLS.
In order to meet our safety goals on a consistent basis, Diede Construction has implemented the Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) developed by Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc.
This process has allowed us to reduce work site accidents and injuries across the board. We are proud to announce we recently qualified for the STEP Gold award in recognition for our commitment to safety. Diede Construction continues to use STEP in our efforts to protect our workers during every project we take on, regardless of its size or complexity.
