PROVIDING EASILY ACCESSIBLE SERVICES
After a two-phase request for proposal, Diede Construction was awarded a contract with the Monterey-Salinas Transit District. The project consisted of the development of a vacant 4.8-acre parcel for the design-build of their new Operations & maintenance Facility located in King City, CA. The building was specifically designed alongside the client to provide easily accessible services for bus maintenance, equipment, and drivers. This facility was completed in just over one year and now acts as a hub for vehicles that serve southern Monterey County and its surrounding communities. Included in the design and construction were a fuel island, fuel storage tanks, vehicle wash building, backup generator, and trash/recycling enclosures. The site work consisted of paved staff and visitor parking as well as drive aisles, landscaping, site lighting, security camera installation, and perimeter fencing.
